Although the race director nearly froze his fingers off setting up the course in the pre-dawn chill, the sun was shining brightly and it almost felt warm for the 9:00 AM start. Lee Stanton of Fair Haven led all 146 runners across the finish line, clocking 17:00 on the challenging 5K course. Kyle Barry and Jesse Bentley both also broke 18:00 and claimed the turkey clocks that were awarded to the top 3 men and women.

Twelve year old Caitlin Lane ventured over from Cambridge and left all of her older competition in the dust, winning the race in 19:30. Kathleen Newton and Lauren Wilson finished second and third, respectively.

Donna Masters and William Masters were tops among the 25 walkers, finishing in 32:04 and 32:06.

The numbers were down a little bit this year, as a cold race morning kept race day registration low, but we were delighted to see a continuing trend toward family participation. Several families turned out 6, 7, 10, and even 12 entrants!
